I trained in pulmonary intervention specialising in endoscopic procedures and also co-developed the pleural service including performing same day diagnostic investigations including medical thoracoscopy and implant of indwelling pleural catheters.
I am a member of the Birmingham Regional Severe Asthma service and the QE Severe Asthma lead specialising in managing complex asthma patients with biologic drugs, large airway and ENT manifestations of asthma.
I am head of clinical respiratory research for QEHB and oversee a number of multicentre respiratory trials across all areas of respiratory medicine with individual involvement in complex asthma, vasculitis and pleural studies.
I am a member of the West Midlands maternal medicine network and provide respiratory input to the Birmingham Women’s Hospital managing respiratory conditions in pregnancy.
Outside of the above I also provide input into the regional pulmonary AV malformation MDT and look after patients with respiratory complications of haematological malignancy.
Outside of work I enjoy walking our dog with my wife and kids, playing and watching sport.
